For the first time in 5 years my parents stayed in town and had all of us kids over for a real dinner. Each Thanksgiving prior to this one they would take off in their RV for adventures in warmer climates and leave us three kids to fend for ourselves. Last year DH and I played grown-up and cooked our own turkey and invited the bro and sis over to our place. Although that was a good meal, and made us feel all grown up it was so nice to just relax this time and let someone else worry about the preparation and resulting messy kitchen.
